Purchase Terms

ShirtMap · Find Shirts only the Locals know about...

1. Two Ways to Buy

ShirtMap is a discovery map first. Every listing shows where to get the shirt, and that works one of two ways:

  • Sold on ShirtMap. Some businesses sell directly through ShirtMap checkout. These orders get a ShirtMap order number (like SM-1042), and these Purchase Terms and our Refund Policy apply to them.
  • Sold somewhere else. Many listings link to a business's own online store, social page, or physical shop. When you follow one of those links, you leave ShirtMap and buy under that store's own prices, terms, and refund policy. ShirtMap is just linking the way: we are not part of that sale, and these Purchase Terms do not apply to it.

An easy check: if you paid in a ShirtMap cart and received a ShirtMap order confirmation email, you bought on ShirtMap. If you checked out on another website or in person, you didn't.

2. Buying on ShirtMap

Some businesses on ShirtMap sell their shirts directly through the site. When you buy a shirt on ShirtMap, you are buying from the listed business, not from ShirtMap. The selling business is the merchant of record for your purchase.

ShirtMap provides the marketplace platform: listings, the shopping cart, checkout and payment processing through Stripe, and the shipping tools the business uses to ship your order. Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe; ShirtMap never stores full payment card details.

3. The Selling Business Is Responsible for Your Order

The business you buy from is responsible for:

  • Producing and shipping your order
  • Product quality, sizing, and accuracy of the listing
  • Answering questions about your order
  • Refunds and returns, as described in our Refund Policy
  • Any applicable taxes on their sales

Your order confirmation email includes the business's contact information. For questions about an order — shipping status, sizing, problems with the item — contact the selling business directly.

4. What ShirtMap Is Responsible For

ShirtMap is responsible for the platform itself: the website, the cart and checkout experience, and your ShirtMap account if you have one. For platform issues, use our contact form.

If you have contacted a selling business about an order problem and cannot resolve it, you may also reach out through our contact form and we will try to help.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices are set by the selling business and shown at checkout. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the items and your shipping address, and is added to your total. Payment is processed by Stripe at the time of purchase. ShirtMap charges the selling business a platform fee on each sale; this fee is not added to your price.

6. Order Confirmation

After a successful purchase you will receive an order confirmation email with your order number (for example, SM-1042), the items purchased, and the selling business's contact information. Keep this email — the order number is how both the business and ShirtMap look up your purchase.

7. Shipping and Delivery

Orders are shipped by the selling business to the address you enter at checkout, using a prepaid shipping label arranged through the platform. Please double-check your shipping address before paying. If you need to correct it, contact the selling business right away, the address can only be changed until the shipping label has been created.

When your order ships you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking number. Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not guaranteed. If your order never arrives, see our Refund Policy.

8. Selling on ShirtMap

Selling requires an approved business listing and completed payment onboarding with Stripe. Selling businesses are the merchant of record for their sales and are responsible for fulfillment, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, and the accuracy of their listings, as detailed in the seller terms presented during selling setup.

Print-on-demand listings work differently. Where a shirt page says it is printed and shipped by our production partner, ShirtMap is the merchant of record: we produce it, ship it, and handle refunds and problems. The business that designed it earns a royalty on each sale and is responsible for the artwork, including the right to use it.

9. Changes

We may update these Purchase Terms from time to time. Continued use of ShirtMap's purchase features after changes means you accept the updated terms.
