Putting ShirtMap on your own website
The badge, the text link, and the structured data block: what each does and where to paste them.
Where to find your snippets
The Website badge section of your dashboard has three copy-paste snippets, each personalized to your business. Any site builder that accepts custom HTML works (Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, WordPress). Paste them into your site's footer or about page.
The badge and the text link
Both are visible links from your website to your shirts on ShirtMap. The image badge shows a small "Featured on ShirtMap" graphic; the text link is a plain sentence link. Customers can follow either one straight to your shirts, and links from real business websites also help your shirts rank in search results.
The structured data block
The third snippet is invisible on your page. It is a small block of structured data (the machine-readable format search engines use) that says, in effect: this website and this ShirtMap shop are the same business, in the same town.
Why it matters: ShirtMap's pages already tell search engines and AI assistants that your ShirtMap shop belongs to your website. When your website says the same thing back, the two confirm each other. That two-way confirmation is one of the strongest signals engines use to connect a real business to its online presence, and it helps your shirts come up when people ask an AI assistant where to buy shirts from your town.
Good to know
- Paste the structured data block once, anywhere in your site's HTML. The footer is fine.
- It works on its own or alongside a badge. Using both is best: the badge is the visible link, the block is the machine-readable confirmation.
- The block is plain text on your own site, so it keeps working no matter what changes on ShirtMap. If your business name or town changes, copy a fresh one from the dashboard.
