Jamestown, RI Shirts

ShirtMap's hometown shirt page for Jamestown, Rhode Island. Local businesses that sell their own shirts appear here as they join the map.

Two bridges hold Jamestown like bookends, one leaping east toward Newport, the other west toward the mainland, and in between sits Conanicut Island, going about its business at its own speed. The island has kept watch over Narragansett Bay for a long time: at its southern tip, Beavertail marks the site of the third lighthouse built in colonial America, and on a hill at the island's center an eight-sided windmill from 1787 still stands, its sails long retired from grinding corn. Ferries once did the bridges' work, and the island still carries a ferry town's self-sufficiency. Drivers cross it in minutes; residents know it takes a lifetime to see properly. Our Jamestown design is drawn the way islanders picture home: the lighthouse at one end, the old windmill at the center, and the two bridges arcing off the edges of the shirt, holding the island between them. Jamestown businesses will surface on this page as they come onto ShirtMap.

The ShirtMap Jamestown shirt is currently being designed. When it is ready, it will be sold right on this page.
