Lambertville, NJ Shirts

Every spring the shad fight their way up the Delaware to spawn, and Lambertville throws them a festival, as it has since 1981. One family has hauled nets off a river island here since the 1880s, the last commercial shad crew on the river, and the whole town turns out to watch.

The rest of the year, Lambertville is New Jersey's great river town for wandering: blocks of antique shops and galleries in old factory buildings, painted rowhouses, towpath joggers, and the steel bridge that carries you on foot across the Delaware to the little town on the far bank, though locals will tell you the better side is the one you started on.

Our Lambertville design works the river hard: the bridge stretching across the top of the composition, a shad rendered bold and silvery below it, mid-run, headed upstream. It is the fish that made the town a party and the bridge that made it a pair.
