Oxford, MD Shirts

Oxford does not do much, and that is the whole idea. A strand of white houses under old trees, a picket-fenced lane or two, a harbor where the loudest event of the day is a halyard slapping a mast. It was not always so sleepy: in 1683 Oxford was named one of Maryland's first official ports, and that same year the county authorized a ferry across the Tred Avon, a crossing that still runs today and is believed to be the oldest privately operated ferry in the country. Watching that little boat cross and recross the river is Oxford's version of theater, and honestly it holds up. Our Oxford design keeps the scale honest: the ferry small against a wide river, the low line of the village behind it, a single gull supervising, everything drawn with the calm this town has spent three centuries perfecting. When Oxford businesses join ShirtMap, this page is where they will turn up, at their own unhurried pace.
