Lubec, ME Shirts

ShirtMap's hometown shirt page for Lubec, Maine. Local businesses that sell their own shirts appear here as they join the map.

Dawn reaches Lubec before it reaches anybody else. This is the easternmost town in the contiguous United States, and the candy-striped lighthouse out on West Quoddy Head marks the easternmost point of the American mainland, a station considered essential enough that Thomas Jefferson ordered the first tower built there in 1808. Sardine canneries once crowded this waterfront; now the village is quiet, a working harbor at the end of the road with a short bridge across the channel to a Canadian island. People drive a long way to stand at the edge of the country here, and most of them are surprised by how much they like the town itself. Our Lubec design leads with the stripes: the red and white tower planted on its headland, the sun breaking the water line behind it, and the words easternmost town riding underneath, because if you hold the title you should use it. When Lubec's own businesses join ShirtMap, this page is where you will find them.

The ShirtMap Lubec shirt is currently being designed. When it is ready, it will be sold right on this page.
