Ludlow, VT Shirts
ShirtMap's hometown shirt page for Ludlow, Vermont. Local businesses that sell their own shirts appear here as they join the map.
Before there were chairlifts there was wool. Ludlow spent the 1800s as a mill town on the Black River, weaving fleece from Vermont's merino sheep into heavy fabric, and the old mill with its clock tower still stands on Main Street, the biggest building in the town's historic district. Then, in 1956, the mountain above town opened to skiers, and Ludlow slowly traded looms for lifts. The snow, unlike the wool market, keeps coming back. Today the town works the way a ski town should: the mountain at the top of the street, the river running through the middle, the Green Mountains rolling away in every direction. Our Ludlow design maps that geography honestly: trails carved down the mountain's face, the river threading beneath them, ridgelines stacked behind. It is a shirt for people who know the best runs end with a walk down Main Street. When Ludlow businesses join ShirtMap, this page is where they will appear.
