Elk outnumber pretense in this corner of Pennsylvania. Ridgway sits on the Clarion River at the edge of elk country, where the state's wild herd, the largest free-roaming herd in the northeast, drifts through the surrounding hills. A bull elk crossing a back road at dusk is a local commonplace that never quite stops being astonishing.

The town was built on lumber, and the woods still set the calendar: each late winter, chainsaw carvers from around the world descend on Ridgway for a rendezvous that has grown into one of the largest gatherings of its kind, filling the streets with sawdust, sculpture, and the two-stroke hum of art being made fast. River, elk, timber, saws: it all fits together more neatly than it has any right to.

Our Ridgway design puts a bull elk in full bugle at the center, the Clarion winding below him, with woodgrain texture cut through the artwork as if a carver got there first.
